The industry is committed to ensuring the most up-to-date scientific information on aromatic substances available for users, regulators and the general public. The European Commission hosts a web-site at its European Chemicals Bureauthat provides access to a database on the health and environment effects of chemicals in commerce in Europe. APA provides updates to this database on a regular basis.

Unfortunately, due to work pressures associated with the forthcoming proposals fornew legislation on the control of chemicals in Europe, the EU database has not been maintained for some period. Despite this, APA continues to make available information that describes the latest understandings of these materials. Downloadable summaries on benzene, toluene, xylene and cyclohexane will soon be available.
